A racing green 38mm and a bright blue 42mm Rally Diver mark the next chapter in one of watchmaking’s most cult-followed collabs
Rowing Blazers has teamed up with Seiko for a fourth time, releasing two new limited-edition watches designed in partnership with vintage watch expert Eric Wind of Wind Vintage.
The collection builds on a collaboration that began in 2021, with every drop since becoming a sell-out success amongst fans of the ‘if you know you know’.
The new launch arrives with two references: a racing green 38mm Rally Diver and a bright blue 42mm Rally Diver, each limited to 2,500 individually numbered pieces.
Both watches feature vintage-inspired dials and bezels (as you’d expect), a crown detailed with the Rowing Blazers monogram, and a new caseback with the brand’s ‘Bath Club’ motif alongside Wind Vintage branding.
Each reference comes with both a stainless steel bracelet and a nylon strap.
They’re powered by Seiko’s automatic Calibre 4R36, operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with 41 hours of power reserve, a day-date display with English and Spanish options, and luminous hands and markers in a warm tone that gives a patinaed feel.
Both cases are stainless steel with a unidirectional bezel and 20mm lug width.
For Wind, the project carries personal significance. “Working with Seiko is a dream come true,” he explains. “Growing up, my dad’s daily driver watches were Seiko watches, and the first vintage watch I ever purchased was a vintage Seiko 5 Sports Rally Diver from 1969. The Rally Diver from our first Rowing Blazers x Seiko collaboration in 2021 was a tribute to my original Rally Diver and remains one of the most desirable Seiko 5 Sports watches ever made.”
Rowing Blazers senior collaborations manager Tommy Cissel echoes Wind’s excitement: “We feel incredibly privileged to have worked with Seiko on a fourth collaboration. To be able to reimagine our original ‘Rally Diver’ in two new sizes and colours is a great way to continue to honour the heritage of both brands. Watches are such an important part of our brand, and we are incredibly excited to continue our partnership with Seiko.”
