Seiko has reimagined a 1968 cave divers’ watch from its archive in an on-trend Prospex sports watch for the modern era.
The 1968 piece was something of a pioneer within Seiko, thanks to the use on an in-house 10-beat, hi-beat movement.
Today’s reissue houses a highly accurate and reliable in-house mechanical 8L35 calibre, with 50 hour power reserve, which has its crown set at 4 o’clock to make the watch more slender.

Its teal gradation dial is inspired by the depths of the water that only the most skilled cave divers can reach, and mimics the way a diver’s light shines in a cave.

Readability in the pitch black depths is improved with the use of Lumibrite on the minute hand and bezel.
The 42.6mm x 49.3mm x 13.1mm steel on steel watch is water resistant to 200 metres.
